Fitness
Good for you and good for your baby.

Being fit can help your heart, mind and entire body stay healthy during
pregnancy. For low-risk pregnancies, 30 minutes a day of moderate
exercise is safe for the mother and leads to some very positive effects.
Exercise improves circulation, which helps prevent constipation,
varicose veins, leg cramps and swelling of the ankles. Exercise helps all
of us feel physically and emotionally stronger, which helps our physical
endurance, energy level and self image. Fit women are also able to
cope better with labor and recover faster after birth.  Talk to your
midwife or physician about a fitness program that is best for you.
